I stuffed a bunch of random half-used skeins into my bag for a beach trip and ended up making some fun fading-striped hats and fingerless gloves with a nice texture that allows for a relaxed fit. I like the fun brightness of the combinations.
Two sets of friends are welcoming little baby boys to their families this summer. I’ve made a blanket for each. One is a chunky soft blanket with stripes and a beautiful palette that I haven’t seen as much in baby yarn. The other is a delicate shimmering blue with more architectural lines and a lighter weight. I like them both for different reasons and think they will go well in their new homes.
